A message from Magnetic Field

We did it all for Q!

The February 3rd benefit for Question Mark was a HUGE success --

with only two weeks to put the whole event together, we were still able to raise PLENTY OF CASH!

There were way too many highlights of the evening to go into, but suffice it to say,

all the bands played amazing sets, the DJs selected boss tunes, and emcee Lenny Kaye kept things grooving along all night.

Some surprises included a last minute, unadvertised scorcher of a set by Chandler And The Chasers;

the yummy bake sale (raised $100 on its own!); Lenny Kaye and Billy Miller's verbal battling during "Gloria;"

and Twig and Mike from Richard And The Young Lions joining

Muck And The Mires on stage for a monster take on "Open Up Your Door."

Thanks go out to all who helped (and hopefully we don't miss anyone): Billy and Miriam (Norton Records),

Steve "Pheck" Ritsua, Lenny Kaye, Terry (96tears.com), all the bands who played (The Miscreants,

Chandler & The Chasers, Muck & The Mires, The A-Bones, "Link Cromwell," and The Great Gaylord),

the DJs (Lynne K., Connie T. Empress, and Bob Shannon), Mike Newman, Alice Cooper, William Crane,

Adam Rathe (Go Brooklyn), Mary Huhn (NY Post), Justina (Renegade Nation),

Little Steven's Underground Garage, Coyote Recording Studios, Mary Weiss,

Tim Warren (Crypt Records), Wild Girl, The Thing With Two Heads, Empire State Soul Club,

Anna (Guitar World), Timeout NY, Collectibles Records, Sony/Legacy Records, Crystal (Bumble & Bumble),

Zodiac Records, Theresa Kereakes (Punk Turns 30), The Village Voice, Tim (Sundazed Records),

Gary Fury, Deb O'Neir, the wonderful MF bartenders for the evening (Charlene and Devon),

our fantastic door volunteers (Polly and Aaron) and of course,

everyone who attended and contributed to helping Q back on his feet!!!
